Letter, with accompanying envelope, written from camp near Antietam, Md., includes descriptions of mess arrangements, soldiers' diet, a night Owen spent sitting up with a ward of severely ill soldiers, and regiment's movement from Boston to Washington by steamer with the 36th Massachusetts; together with a listing of officers for which the 20th Maine Infantry is serving.
